Naan Recipe
Ingredients
| Self raising flour | 500 g | |
| Salt | 1 tsp (to taste) | |
| Yogurt | 2-3 tbsp | |
| Yeast | 1 packet (11 g) | |
| Oil | 5-6 tbsp (also for brushing) | |
| Luke warm water | as required |
Method for making Naan
- In a bowl, add self raising flour, salt, yeast and mix well.
- Now add yogurt, oil and mix well.
- Gradually add water and Knead a soft dough.
- Make sure to knead the dough well with the palm of your hand, to make a softer dough. If the dough is soft, naan will turn out fluffier and softer.
- Apply little oil on the dough, cover and let it rest for 2-3 hours.
- Once its risen, knock the dough down and divide the dough into equal portions to make normal size balls.
- Roll the balls with the help of rolling pin to form naan.
- Heat a pan, place naan on it, as you see small bubbles forming, turn the side of naan, apply oil with brush or spoon on it and flip the side once again.
- Place the hot Naan(s) in a hotpot or cover with a cloth to keep warm.
- Ready to serve.
